- "Creating Your Own Perfume With A 1700 Percent Markup!" — Second Edition (2007)
How much money must a company spend to launch its own perfume? $10 million? $100,000? Or perhaps just $2,000 if, like the company interviewed for this book, you "do it yourself" and become involved in dealing with each of the necessary vendors, supervising the entire development and production process and even, in some cases, having some steps executed in your own plant or office — reducing your expenses to a manufacturer's cost ... a cost that can be just a fraction of "wholesale". The original text was published in 2001 and it described, step-by-step, how a company which had never sold a fragrance before was able to "create" its own fragrance, bottle it, label it and sell it successfully at a 1700 percent markup. All vendors are named. No information is held back. All of the original text is included, unchanged, in this (2007) Second Edition. What has been added — to double the size of the original book — is a section called The Ten Million Dollar Launch, which explains why it is so expensive for a major fragrance marketer to launch a new fragrance, and the dangers of trying to ape this model. Also included in the Second Edition is a new section detailed much information on creating a new perfume that has been gained by the author between 2001 and 2007. Currently there is no other book anywhere that gives the individual or small business such an intimate and practical exposure to the process of creating and manufacturing a commercially viable perfume on a very modest budget. The Perfume Maker's Club is a resource for anyone interested in creating or marketing perfume. The Club offers extensive sources of vendors of aroma chemicals, essential oils, alcohol, bottles, caps and fine mist spray pumps, and additional items useful for creating, manufacturing, packaging and shipping perfume. A member's discount is offered on all perfume-related books sold on this website. The Club also offers FREE TO MEMBERS, as pdf downloads, several hard to fine texts on perfume making and perfume marketing. Club members also receive the Club's informative newsletter published monthly, distributed by email, but also archived permanently in the Club's membership pages. Beyond this, the Club offers links to a great deal of information on perfume, the perfume industry, and perfumers available on the internet but oh, so hard to find!

These perfume samplers are one of our greatest discoveries. Now you can hand out (or mail out!) samples of your perfume in an atomizer rather than a small glass vial with dabber. This model is remarkably inexpensive and very effective for demonstrating your perfume. It is easy to fill and can be carried in pocket or purse without fear of leakage.
